Dr. Jose Ayub

Dr. Jose Ayub is a prosthodontist, author and educator whose academic appointments span the Americas. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Dental Medicine, one of only three dental schools in the Ivy League, and a Visiting Professor and Clinical Case Reviewer for universities across Latin America.

Dr. Jose earned his DDS from Uruguay’s Universidad de la República before completing his specialization in Prosthodontics. He has since authored more than 30 scientific publications, co-authored books and book chapters, and lectured in 15 countries. His clinical work focuses on cosmetic adhesive dentistry and selective minimal preparation: reshaping each tooth only where the design calls for it and preserving the natural enamel that gives porcelain its strongest bond, the key to conservative, long lasting veneers.

He brings that academic depth to Apa Aesthetic Dubai, together with two years of full-time training in cosmetic dentistry directly under Dr. Michael Apa in New York City. An expert in dental photography and videography, Dr. Jose uses the camera to teach, to document and to communicate every step of treatment through an engaging visual language. Fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese, he lived in Uruguay, Brazil and the United States before making Dubai his home. Every smile he creates is held to the standard he teaches: natural, refined and minimally invasive.
