This case demonstrates the impact of a thoughtful revision. The patient had upper veneers done elsewhere. Due to her flared lower teeth, the upper veneers were positioned too far forward, resulting in the appearance of protrusion or “buck teeth.” Additionally, the previous treatment failed to address the narrowness of her upper arch.
We approached this case with a comprehensive treatment plan, which is essential for achieving optimal results. By veneering the lower teeth, we corrected their flare and brought them into proper alignment. We widened the upper arch and replaced the existing veneers with new ones that were thinner and designed to put her teeth in a more natural position.
The new veneers were crafted with greater gradation and translucency, creating a natural aesthetic. This meticulous attention to detail eliminated the appearance of protrusion and resulted in a beautifully balanced smile.
