A reverse smile is characterized by upper central teeth that are shorter than the surrounding teeth. When this patient smiles, her teeth frown. To achieve facial harmony, we created parallel lines between her teeth, lips and smile.
Notice the heavy band of translucency at the base of each restoration. In correcting her reverse smile, we lengthened the front teeth, but with thoughtful attention to detail in the ceramic execution. Translucency allowed us to deliver the ideal length without the look of big, overpowering front teeth.
